2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID and authentication credentials. We do not receive your email address or full name unless you explicitly choose to share them.
- Username: You may choose to create a username (alphanumeric characters and underscores, maximum 8 characters) which is stored locally and synced to our secure backend.
2.2 Workout Data
- Workout Sessions: We collect and store information about your workout sessions, including:
- Number of push-ups completed (rep count)
- Session duration
- Date and time of each workout
- Workout statistics and progress metrics
- Camera Data: The app uses your device's camera to detect your body position during workouts. All video processing happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any video or image data from your camera.
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: We may collect device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to help us improve the app and troubleshoot issues.
- Usage Data: We collect crash reports and error logs through Sentry.io to identify and fix bugs. This data is anonymized and does not contain personal information.
- Subscription Information: If you purchase a subscription, we receive subscription status information from RevenueCat and Apple to manage your subscription.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the app's core functionality (workout tracking and counting)
- Sync your workout data across your devices using secure cloud storage
- Generate analytics and progress reports to help you track your fitness goals
- Manage your subscription and provide premium features
- Improve the app by analyzing crash reports and error logs
- Respond to your support requests and inquiries
4. Data Processing and Storage
4.1 On-Device Processing
AI Pose Detection: All AI-powered pose detection and analysis happens entirely on your device using MediaPipe. No video, images, or pose data is sent to our servers or third-party services. This ensures your privacy.
4.2 Cloud Storage
Your workout data is securely stored in our Supabase backend database, which is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your workout data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
5.1 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase: Cloud database service for storing your workout data securely. Supabase is GDPR compliant and follows industry-standard security practices.
- Sentry.io: Error tracking and crash reporting service. Sentry collects anonymized crash reports and error logs to help us improve the app.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management service. RevenueCat processes subscription transactions and status information.
- Apple: Authentication services (Sign In with Apple) and subscription processing (App Store).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can view your workout data at any time within the app.
- Correction: You can edit your username and other profile information directly in the app.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by signing out and contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days.
- Data Portability: You can export your workout data by contacting us.
- Opt-Out: You can stop using the app at any time. You can also disable camera permissions, though this will limit app functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
PushUp Tracking & Counter is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- Data is encrypted at rest in our cloud database
- Authentication is handled securely through Sign In with Apple
- Credentials are stored securely using iOS Keychain
- Regular security audits and updates
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
