Who builds these apps

escapethematrix.app is run by Priye Singh, an independent iOS developer. There is no team, no investors and no growth department — every app on this site is designed, built, and supported by one person.

That matters for a practical reason: when you email support, you reach the person who wrote the code.

Why everything runs on-device

Health and appearance data is the most personal data you generate. The standard industry model is to upload it, analyse it on a server, and monetise the aggregate. These apps do the opposite: every inference runs locally on your iPhone using Apple's Core ML, Vision, and Foundation Models frameworks.

In concrete terms — no camera frame from RepSquad, no HealthKit sample from Body Vitals, and no photo from Presence is ever transmitted anywhere. There is no server to breach because there is no server. None of the apps require an account to use their core features, and none contain third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

The trade-off is real and worth stating: on-device models must be small enough to run on a phone, so they are tuned for a defined set of tasks rather than open-ended ones. That constraint is the design, not a limitation being worked around.

How these apps are funded

By people paying for them — not by advertising, data resale, or engagement farming. Each app has a genuinely usable free tier, and Pro features are available by subscription or, where possible, a one-time lifetime purchase. Body Vitals Pro supports Family Sharing, so one lifetime purchase covers up to six family members.
