1. Introduction

Body Vitals: Health Widgets ("Body Vitals," "the App," "we," "our") is operated by escapethematrix.app ("Company"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Body Vitals, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information. Body Vitals does not require account creation, sign-in, email address, name, or any other identifying information. There is no registration process.

2.2 Health Data

Body Vitals reads health data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. This includes but is not limited to:

• Heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, walking heart rate
• Sleep analysis and sleep stages
• Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)
• VO2 Max, respiratory rate
• Steps, active energy, exercise minutes, stand hours
• Blood pressure, body weight, BMI, body fat percentage
• Walking speed, walking steadiness, walking step length
• Daylight exposure, environmental noise
• Caffeine, water intake, dietary energy
• Mindful minutes, workout sessions

2.3 Locally Stored Data

The app stores the following data locally on your device using App Group storage (group identifier: group.com.escapethematrixapp.bodyvitals):

• Health Snapshots: Periodic captures of your health metrics used to power widgets and the dashboard
• Anomaly Events: Records of detected health anomalies (e.g., HRV drop, elevated heart rate)
• Readiness Weights: Adaptive calibration weights for your personal readiness score calculation
• Theme & Preferences: Your selected HUD theme and app settings

This data is stored exclusively on your device and in the app's shared App Group container (accessible only by the app and its widgets). It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server.

2.4 Usage Data

We do not require account sign-in for Body Vitals core functionality. If diagnostics, analytics, or third-party SDK behavior changes in a future app version, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes before or at rollout.

2.5 Network Activity

Body Vitals is designed around on-device processing for health insights and widgets. We do not use your HealthKit data for advertising profiles or sell health data.

2.6 AI Processing

The Pro tier uses Apple Foundation Models for AI coaching. This AI processing runs entirely on-device through Apple's native framework. No health data, prompts, or AI outputs are sent to any server - including Apple's servers. The AI model runs locally on your device's Neural Engine.

3. How We Use Your Information

All data usage happens exclusively on your device:

• Display your health metrics on the dashboard and widgets
• Calculate your daily readiness score from multiple health signals
• Compute composite health scores (Longevity, Cardiovascular, Metabolic, Circadian, Mobility)
• Generate AI coaching insights (on-device only, Pro tier)
• Detect anomalies in your health data and provide alerts
• Power the recovery forecast, Weekly Pattern, and Readiness Radar

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond the app's on-device functionality.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process limited data:

• Apple StoreKit2: For processing the Pro tier in-app purchase. Apple handles the transaction; we receive only a purchase receipt confirmation. No health data is involved in this process.
• Apple HealthKit: For reading health data. This is a local on-device API; no data leaves your device through HealthKit.
• Apple Foundation Models: For on-device AI coaching (Pro). This runs locally; no data is sent to Apple's servers.

4.2 Data Sales

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data or health data to anyone.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We do not operate a Body Vitals account-based health cloud. Health data used by Body Vitals features remains tied to your device and Apple Health permissions.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 On-Device Only

All data is stored locally on your iPhone using:

• Apple HealthKit: Health data remains in the HealthKit sandbox, protected by iOS security
• App Group UserDefaults: Health snapshots and preferences are stored in the app's shared container, encrypted by iOS Data Protection

Both storage mechanisms are protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID through iOS Data Protection. Data is encrypted at rest by the iOS file system.

5.2 No Cloud Storage

Body Vitals has no server infrastructure, no database, no cloud storage, and no backup service. If you delete the app, all app data is permanently removed from your device.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your health data at any time within the app dashboard
• Revoke Permissions: Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Body Vitals
• Deletion: Delete the app to permanently remove all locally stored data (snapshots, anomaly events, readiness weights, preferences)
• Health Data Control: Manage your underlying health data through the Apple Health app

7. Children's Privacy

Body Vitals is not intended for children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information, we cannot knowingly collect data from children. The app requires access to Apple Health, which is subject to Apple's own age restrictions.

8. International Data Transfers

Body Vitals is designed for on-device health processing. Any service-specific transfer implications depend on Apple services you use (for example, App Store purchase infrastructure) and are governed by those providers' terms.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected - we collect none
• Right to delete personal information - delete the app to remove all local data
• Right to opt-out of data sales - we do not sell any data
• Right to non-discrimination - no data-dependent services exist

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:

• Right to access - all data is visible in the app
• Right to rectification - health data can be edited in Apple Health
• Right to erasure - delete the app to remove all data
• Right to restrict processing - revoke HealthKit permissions
• Right to data portability - export health data through Apple Health
• Right to object - stop using the app at any time

Since we do not collect or process data on any server, GDPR data subject requests are fulfilled by the controls described above.
