Body Vitals: Health Widgets ("Body Vitals," "the App," "we," "our") is operated by escapethematrix.app ("Company"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Body Vitals, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
In short: Body Vitals has no account system and computes core health insights on your device using Apple's native frameworks. Health data is sourced from Apple Health (HealthKit), and widget data is shared locally via App Group storage. See this page for full details about permissions, storage, and disclosures.
Body Vitals does not require account creation or direct identifiers such as your name or email address. There is no registration process. We may process limited technical diagnostic data through crash logging (see Sections 2.4 and 4.1).
Body Vitals reads health data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. This includes but is not limited to:
Important: Body Vitals reads HealthKit data and may write workout/activity records where explicitly described in app permission strings. Health processing for app features and widgets is designed to run on-device.
The app stores the following data locally on your device in a shared container used only by the Body Vitals app and its widgets (Apple App Group):
This data is stored exclusively on your device and in the app's shared App Group container (accessible only by the app and its widgets). It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server.
To maintain app reliability, Body Vitals uses Sentry for crash and error diagnostics. Sentry events can include technical metadata such as app version, iOS version, device model, timestamps, stack traces, and diagnostic breadcrumbs related to app behavior around a crash. We do not send HealthKit values in crash payloads.
By default, Sentry SDKs are designed not to send direct user identifiers unless explicitly configured. We also use filtering/scrubbing controls intended to avoid transmitting unnecessary sensitive data.
Body Vitals is designed around on-device processing for health insights and widgets. Limited network transmission may occur for crash diagnostics via Sentry. We do not use your HealthKit data for advertising profiles or sell health data.
The Pro tier uses Apple Intelligence (Apple Foundation Models) for AI coaching. This is Apple's native framework, not a third-party AI service.
Body Vitals formats relevant health metrics into prompts that are processed by Apple Intelligence on your device. No health data is sent to any third-party AI service.
Depending on your device settings and the specific request, Apple Intelligence may use Private Cloud Compute for some processing. Private Cloud Compute is Apple's infrastructure and is governed by Apple's privacy and security policies, including end-to-end encryption and strict data handling controls.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond the app's on-device functionality.
Body Vitals relies on Apple platform components and a limited set of service providers. The following may process limited data:

We do not operate a Body Vitals account-based health cloud. Health data used by Body Vitals features remains tied to your device and Apple Health permissions.

Both storage mechanisms are protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID through iOS Data Protection. Data is encrypted at rest by the iOS file system.
Body Vitals does not run an account-based health data cloud or sync service for your HealthKit-derived dashboard data. Core app data remains local to your device. Separately, crash/error diagnostics are processed via Sentry as described above.
You have complete control over your data:
Body Vitals is not intended for children under the age of 13. The app requires access to Apple Health, which is subject to Apple's own age restrictions. We do not require account registration or direct identifiers for app use.
Body Vitals is designed for on-device health processing. Any service-specific transfer implications depend on third-party providers used by the app (for example, Apple purchase infrastructure and Sentry crash diagnostics) and are governed by those providers' terms.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Most health-processing functionality is on-device. For third-party processed diagnostic data (for example, Sentry crash events), applicable rights can be requested through our contact channel and are handled in accordance with applicable law and provider capabilities.
