Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Presence is built on a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Photos or selfies you capture within the app
• Video recordings from Eye Contact Coach sessions
• Facial analysis results (facial age, smile index, grooming score, etc.)
• Body pose data from FitCheck or Posture Age
• HealthKit data (steps, HRV, sleep, active energy)
• Outfit history or style DNA analysis
• Aura Score logs or personal brand information
• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Device identifiers beyond what Apple's StoreKit requires for purchase validation

2. On-Device Processing

All appearance intelligence in Presence runs locally on your iPhone using on-device AI and machine learning frameworks built into iOS. This includes face and body analysis, skin metrics, posture estimation, smile analysis, and gaze tracking - all processed on your device's Neural Engine with no network requests for analysis.

Feedback and insights are generated by an on-device rule engine using your scores. No external AI APIs or cloud inference of any kind are used for appearance analysis.

Photos are processed in-memory for analysis and are not persistently stored by the app unless you explicitly save them to your photo library.

3. HealthKit Data

Presence may request access to Apple Health data (steps, sleep, HRV, active energy, workouts) to provide lifestyle correlation insights in features like Aura Score, Facial Age, Glow Up Tracker, and Sleep-to-Skin Dashboard.

• HealthKit data is read on-device and used only to compute correlation insights within the app.
• Health data is never exported, transmitted, or stored outside your device's Health database.
• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access.

4. Camera and Photo Library

Presence requests camera access for guided selfies and outfit captures. It requests photo library access so you can select existing photos for analysis.

• Camera and photo data are processed locally for analysis only.
• Images are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored in any cloud service.
• You can revoke permissions at any time in Settings → Presence.

5. Microphone

Presence requests microphone access for the Voice Presence Score feature. Audio is captured only during an active voice recording session initiated by you.

• Audio is processed entirely on-device and is never uploaded, stored, or transmitted.
• No voice recordings are retained after the analysis session ends.
• You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings → Presence.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Presence uses Apple's StoreKit 2 for all in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only an anonymized receipt validation token - no payment card details, no billing addresses, no Apple ID information.

Subscription status is validated locally via StoreKit. No purchase data is sent to our servers.

7. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Presence does not use advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or user profiling SDKs (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).

Presence uses Sentry for crash and error reporting. When the app crashes or encounters an error, Sentry may transmit a crash report to Sentry's servers. These reports contain stack traces and device context (iOS version, device model) but are configured to exclude screenshots, view hierarchies, personal data, and appearance analysis results. Crash data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. You can review Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.

If you have opted into Apple's optional analytics sharing in your device settings, Apple may also provide us with aggregate, anonymized crash reports and usage statistics via App Store Connect - this is controlled by your iOS settings and Apple's privacy framework.

8. Screen Time (Optional)

If you grant Screen Time / Family Controls access (requires special Apple entitlement), Presence reads on-device screen time data to compute an intentionality score for your Aura Score. This data is processed locally and never transmitted.

9. Widgets

Presence widgets display your scores on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Widget data is shared between the app and its widget extension using Apple's App Group mechanism (local on-device storage only). No widget data leaves your device.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally in SwiftData on your device. To delete all Presence data:

• Delete the Presence app from your iPhone - this permanently removes all local app data.
• Widgets are automatically removed when the app is deleted.

Since we hold no data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of remotely.

11. Children's Privacy

Presence is rated 12+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since no data is collected from anyone, this requirement is satisfied by design.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice on the next app launch.
