What is Presence?

Presence is an on-device AI appearance intelligence app for iPhone. It analyzes how you look and show up across 19 dimensions - from Grooming Score and Fit Check to Facial Age, Aura Score, Smile Wealth Index, Voice Presence, Wardrobe AI, and more - entirely on your device. No photos or data ever leave your iPhone.

Which features are free?

You get one Fit Check during onboarding (with a teaser on the full analysis), then the paywall. After that, all 19 feature tabs (Grooming Score, Fit Check, Style DNA, Aura Score, Facial Age, Smile Wealth Index, Personal Brand Score, Glow Up Tracker, Sleep-to-Skin Dashboard, Posture Age, Eye Contact Coach, Skin Health Score, First Impression, Jawline Tracker, Mirror Mode, Occasion Optimizer, Voice Presence, Wardrobe AI, Colour Season, and Social Proof Score) and the full Presence Score breakdown require Presence Pro (subscription or lifetime). You can still see your composite Presence Score on the dashboard without a subscription.

What iPhone models and iOS versions are supported?

Presence requires iOS 18.0 or later. It runs on iPhone XS and later (any iPhone with A12 Bionic or newer chip). Face analysis features work best on iPhone 12 or later with improved Neural Engine performance.

How does Grooming Score work?

Grooming Score uses a 30-second face capture analyzed entirely on your device. It scores four components - Hair (30%), Skin Prep (25%), Beard/Brows (25%), and Overall Polish (20%) - using on-device computer vision. The score is out of 100.

Why is my Grooming Score lower than expected?

The on-device analysis reads visual cues like edge sharpness (for beard lines), color evenness (for skin), and regional texture variance (for hair). Poor lighting is the most common cause of unexpectedly low scores. Try again in better lighting conditions.

How is the Presence Score calculated?

Your Presence Score is a weighted composite: Appearance 30% (FitCheck + Grooming), Aura 25%, Face 20% (Facial Age + Smile), Personal Brand 15%, Physicality 10% (Posture Age). Score bands: Shadow (0-20), Emerging (21-40), Noticeable (41-60), Magnetic (61-80), Rare (81-100).

How does FitCheck work?

Fit Check uses on-device analysis to score your outfit photo for body proportions, color palette harmony, formality level, and silhouette quality. After 20 Fit Checks, Style DNA appears - a Presence Pro feature showing your dominant style profile (Minimal, Streetwear, Classic, etc.).

What is the Aura Score?

Aura Score measures intentionality, consistency, and social presence. It combines appearance consistency (fed from Fit Check scores), energy and movement (HealthKit-correlated), and weekly social presence reflection. Log daily for the most accurate weekly callout.

How accurate is Facial Age analysis?

Facial Age uses on-device analysis across 5 dimensions: skin texture variance, under-eye depth estimation, tone evenness, luminosity, and fine line density. Results are an estimate based on visual cues, not a medical diagnosis. Consistent monthly scans are more meaningful than individual readings.

Why does Presence need microphone access?

Microphone access is used exclusively by Voice Presence Score. When you record a voice sample, audio is captured and analysed entirely on-device - measuring pace, clarity, filler words, and vocal confidence. Audio is never stored, uploaded, or transmitted. You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings → Presence.

How do I add Presence widgets?

Long-press your Home Screen → tap the + button in the top left → search "Presence" → choose from Presence Score, Daily Fit Check, Aura Pulse, or Glow Up Progress widgets. Each widget supports Small, Medium, and/or Large sizes. Daily Fit Check and Aura Pulse also have Lock Screen variants.

My widget shows all zeros - why?

Widgets pull data from the app via a shared App Group. Complete at least one analysis in the main app first (for example after subscribing, run Grooming Score or any other feature). Once you have scores saved, open the app once more - the widget refreshes within the hour.

How often do widgets update?

Presence widgets refresh every hour. iOS may delay widget refresh during Low Power Mode or under heavy system load - this is expected iOS behavior outside our control.

What plans are available?

Presence offers three options in the App Store: Weekly ($6.99/week), Annual ($49.99/year - best value vs weekly), and Lifetime ($99.99 one-time). All unlock every Pro feature (including all 19 features, Style DNA, and the full Presence Score breakdown).

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Presence → tap any locked feature to trigger the paywall → tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. Or go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions to manage active subscriptions. Lifetime purchases restore automatically when you sign in with the same Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Presence → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Apple manages all billing - we cannot process refunds directly, but you can request a refund from Apple.

Does Presence send my photos or health data anywhere?

No. All appearance analysis runs on your device using on-device AI. Nothing leaves your iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers, and no cloud sync. See our full Privacy Policy.

How do I delete all my data?

Simply delete Presence from your iPhone. All app data (scores, logs, outfit history, face metrics) is stored locally in SwiftData on your device and is permanently removed when the app is deleted. Since we hold no data remotely, there is nothing else to erase.

Why does Presence need HealthKit access?

HealthKit access is optional. If granted, Presence reads steps, sleep duration, HRV, and active energy to provide lifestyle correlations in Aura Score, Facial Age, Glow Up Tracker, and Sleep-to-Skin Dashboard. You can decline and all features still work - lifestyle correlations simply won't appear. Revoke access anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access → Presence.
